How to install wall murals
Traditional non-woven
-
Tools:
- Pencil
- Ruler
- Spirit level or plumb line (to alight wallpaper lengths perfectly vertically)
- Wallpapering tool (or brush)
- Bucket for the glue
- Roller (and tray)
- Paintbrush (for the places not reachable by the roller, e.g. corners)
- Soft sponge (or cloth to remove glue from wallpapers)
- Knife (to cut excessive wallpaper)
-
1. Make sure that you have all the numbered lengths and that none on them is damaged or defective. The image must perfectly coincide in the neighboring lengths.
-
2. Prepare the walls. The walls must be white, smooth, clean and dry. Fill any holes, remove old wallpaper. Base coat the wall with paint if it has strong color changes (otherwise those colors might be visible through the wallpaper). Remove switches and other objects that may be in the way. Be sure to turn off the power before starting. For freshly painted walls, allow the paint to cure for at least 3-4 weeks before applying the wallpaper
-
3. Mark the wall for the first wallpaper length. Start from the left corner of the wall and move towards the right side. Tip: use a spirit-level or a string with a weight (a plumb bob) and draw a vertical line along the wall with a pencil where the first length ends. Try to line up the first length against the line. Be sure to hang the first length vertically straight.
-
4. Glue the area of for the first length plus 5-7 cm (2-3 inches). Be sure to evenly glue the entire surface and no spots are missed (otherwise it can cause bubbles). Use only paste/glue suitable for non-woven wallpapers. Since our wallpapers are non-woven, apply the glue directly to the walls - no need to apply the glue to the wallpaper. Note: pre-glue the wall if it is highly absorbent (for example plaster walls).
-
5. Pull up the the first wallpaper length and attach it to the wall starting from the ceiling molding. Smooth with the plastic wallpaper tool (from the ceiling to the floor and from the center out to the edges). Carefully wipe the glue from the surface of wallpapers with a wet sponge.
-
6. Do the same for the second and other lengths. Make sure the edges fit together.
-
7. Cut off any excess wallpaper along the ceiling and floor.
-
Done!
The glue should dry at normal temperature in a well ventilated room for around 24 hours.

Surface Preparation
- Ensure the wall is clean, dry, and smooth. Dust, grease, or uneven surfaces can affect adhesion.
- For freshly painted walls, allow the paint to cure for at least 3-4 weeks before applying the wallpaper.
-
Application
- Lay down all numbered panels in order and in correct orientation; make sure there are no damages or defects.
- Peel back a small section of the backing at the top and align the wallpaper to the wall.
- Gradually peel the backing while smoothing the wallpaper with a squeegee or your hands to remove air bubbles.
- If misaligned, the material can be carefully peeled off and repositioned without losing its adhesive properties.
-
Notes
- Avoid stretching the material, as this can cause misalignment or gaps over time.
- Works best on flat, smooth surfaces; textured walls may reduce adhesion.
